As I am able to find old fan art I posted on the Internet every once in a while, I managed to stumble upon a nice handful of old computer drawings I did back when 600x800 pixels were considered "big" images. It was also when I used MS Paint to draw all of them. Ack!

Now, unlike the two oldies I posted on here in August 2014, I'm not loading the computer drawn stuff. Instead I will redraw some of them. This is one of those drawings.

The original version of this was titled "Fireflies". It was of the four Outer Solar System Soldiers in the very same poses here. All of their eyes were closed in that one, though. The background had a tie-dye sort of effect consisting of their image colors and lens flare effects were used to make it look like they were surrounded by fireflies. A caption read, "Can I keep them?" Basically, indicating Hotaru caught a bunch of fireflies and was asking her guardians if she could have them as pets.

This time around, they are in different outfits, minus Hotaru. For some reason I decided to color each outfit the image colors of each of them, only on a different member. Haruka is in crimson and black, Michiru is in gold and blue, Hotaru is in aqua and blue, Setsuna is in brown and purple.

The background was going to be a night scene in truth, but when I finished coloring each of them, I liked the vibrancy of the colors. I couldn't bring myself to filter them to a more washed out hue for a evening setting. It was going to be the woods with a bunch of fireflies, but instead it is a sunny day.

My only regrets with the background is not blurring it, (doesn't quite blend as well with the majority of the picture with the texture I left) and I likely should have made the field have flowers. Setsuna's hair blends too much with the trees, but what can be done there? Her hair is a dark green and the trees have green leaves - it is a summer scene. Still, some flowers likely would have helped below...

Oh, well. I like the models in any case. I am really happy with how the hair turned out. Detail can be a b****, but the results are nice.
