Shy and cute, it is hard for anyone to dislike Snow. She is always there to lend a helpful hand and a shoulder to cry on. She is practically everyone's friend and thus quite popular.
At Walt Disney High School she had a couple of guys hit on her right away, but they soon met her seven "uncles" and despite their short stature, they intimidated them well enough. After that Snow was able to be at peace with her boyfriend.
Sadly, she did wind up in a science class that her ex-stepmother taught. Now, just two years ago her stepmother lost custody of her due to neglect and emotional abuse. To Snow's fortune, she was taken away from her.
Now she had to face her stepmother for a whole class period and often was called on for hard questions and brutally reprimanded. Snow often hid away in the student counselor's office and confided in Ms. Minnie over her problems. It took a while but they finally got her out of the class and switched over to another teacher.
After that everything was smooth sailing and Principle Mickey made sure that her stepmother had to keep away from her or end up being fired. While her stepmother still throws her cruel glances, Snow ignores her and happily gets on with her life.
Her best friends are Cinderella and Aurora. They are as feminine as her and they have things in common. Cindy acts a bit like a mother to her, having suffered from a stepmother who disliked her as well and they both love home economics. Aurora is more like an encouraging big sister to her and encourages her to be a bit more outgoing and gives tips when it comes to fashion and her boyfriend.

Notes:
I can't say I cared for how my first Modern Snow White turned out... she was cute and all... but I figured... ah, heck... screw trying to keep up with fashion. I'll draw her in whatever clothes that come to mind. It worked out a whole lot better this time.
As for the "profile"... I wrote that after I drew some more modern versions of Disney Princesses. I figured, if they are modern looking, why not have them in modern settings? Sadly, that means they are all in high school. Oi.

Snow White was originally going to have blonde hair. But it was changed to black hair to make her more relatable.

I never read about them changing it to black specifically to "make her more relatable". What I have read was that they wanted her design less caricatured and more realistic to make her more relatable.

As for the switch, though... usually the scenario seems to play out that in the first design, yes, the person designed her with blonde hair due to personal influences, but then another person designed her with black hair due to personal influences. Overall, they were experimental designs. If Disney really had cared to follow the story, it would have ultimately been black as ebony by the time her official design was set.

As additional trivia, those who did the coloring actually thought Snow White's ebony hair was to unnatural really. Because of this, you see the somewhat grey outlines to give depth.

By the way, what inspired you to bring up character design trivia?

Would have gone for Mrs. Mouse, but then there would be the whole marriage thing... and Mickey and Minnie are not married.

she's so cute! I love her, and I especially loved the character info.

although, once I imagined what Snow would be like in a modern setting, and I thought she'd be a little more of a flower child vegan type, and so shy that most don't know her well.
