Description
I couldn't resist- Count Cain is too cool not to draw... and i love the artist (Kaori Yuki) who created his character too.
Anyway, I tried to imitate/copy Kaori Yuki's style, albeit it turned out nothing like the real Cain. But you can still tell that it is Cain, which is a start.
The image on the card is meant to be Cain (when he wears the top hat.)

Done in india ink and watercolour.

3 new discoveries while doing this -

1)It is hard to do calligraphy with a paintbrush. (me, sucking at calligraphy anyway, tried to do it with a brush, and it didn't work - so I smudged it to cover up...)

2) india ink is so handy - i can just grab a huge paintbrush and cover up heaps of mistakes - ie the hand...I screwed it up, so I painted over it with the "count Cain" sign...

3) Count Cain C. Hargreaves still remains my all-time manga Favourite (although I do love Lui, Roy, Ed, Kakashi, Chrno, Sai, Shigure <-- don't get me wrong, I honestly LOVE them to bits.)^^. but Cain...just love him...and I love Kaori Yuki even more for being such a genius to create a complex/cool/lovable character as his, and actually DRAW the guy amazingly.
