Description And presenting my first full scale milliput sculpture: Discord! He is made using a wire armature, masking tape, milliput and green stuff. I honestly expected him to be a bit of a challenge, but I feel like Chrysalis has ruined me for 'difficult'. Though this played to my strengths as a sculptor as I work better as a additive customiser rather than subtractive.

All of the figure is made by me and surprisingly I took no real shortcuts to making his parts like using other parts for him, which I'm proud of.

I chose this pose since it was the least suggestive or... difficult to sculpt. I wanted a free standing figure in which I coul display him. I tried to make him a similar scale to my ponies, though with his constant size changes, I mostly went for similar head sizes.

Here's to hoping the Season 3 big bad is a recoloured Derpy Hooves and I don't have to suffer making them.

Freaking awesome!! He kinda looks like he's in danger of leaning too much and falling over but I'm sure he'll last.

He's actually really sturdy and can support multiple ponies hanging off of him, provided he has nothing to push him forward lol. Plus since he's pretty weighty he doesn't topple over as easily as a plastic pony

Ah. Sounds like you didn't screw up on that part then. One question I have though: when you made really thin pieces like his horns and beard and the end of his tail and junk, did you put a wire in them and attach them with a wire?

Lols, everything he is made on has a wire on the inside. When I sculpted his head, I poked two holes for his horns, and when I sculpted his horns, I left a bit of wire sticking out so I could glue them into his head

Ah, smart idea. Yeah, what I usually do is sculpt all the parts like the horns and beard and stuff and let them harden/bake them and then I put them in the head before the head gets hardened or baked too. I'm gonna use wires next time though.
