Description
I gained insperation for this when I had read a particularly good Transformers/Evangelion crossover fanfic which led me into imagining what would happen if Megatron got interested in trying to get a hold of an EVA unit. No doubt he would send out Lazerbeak to gather information about it and when he discovers that the EVA's only respond to 14 year old humans he causes a distraction to divert both NERV and the Autobots away from the capture of one of the Rei clones (which they could easily find out). Once the Decepticons get ahold of the clone, they infuse her with a spark and giver her false memories to help get her inside NERV while they have set up a program inside her to send information to them and to awaken her as a Decepticon when she manages to get ahold of her own EVA.

Strangely enough, I imagined Nightbird being almost as emotionless as Rei and never talking, but she begins to feel an attatchment to Dr. Ritsuko and considers her as a surrogate mother, even trying to protect her from the Decepticons when they attack NERV for a second time (ending up being killed by Megatron for dissobedience).

The drawing of human Nightbird was traced from Rei in her Plugsuit.
