Time for the next set of KTS races, the Undead!

First up is the Jiangshi.

The Jiangshi were once powerful human warlords who sought to oppose the rise of the Elves and the creation of what is now known as the Imperial Realm.

Outmatched in arcane power and military might, they resorted to long lost ancient evils to even the score, and in the process became the Jiangshi, powerful creatures cursed with pale complexions, blood red eyes, and forced to subsist on the chi stolen from living beings.

With their newfound power they wormed their way into the existing power structures of the mortal world, manipulating the humans to turn against their Elven masters in a grand scheme to usurp power. However their plans were discovered by the Elves, and the Dragon Emperor himself purged them from the Imperial Realm, supposedly forever.

However it was not to be, some of the Jiangshi survived, a few fled to the untamed lands far to the west, whilst others chose to withdraw from the world, hibernating for centuries in dark crypts far below the surface of the world, waiting for death to claim their enemies, before they rise again.
