So, here's my summary of work for 2016. Choosing pieces was quite nostalgic and a strange way to review life over the past year. I could easily tell where my fandom/hobbies were focused at different times and sparse months from being incredibly busy juggling employers. It also reminded me of how many projects I haven't had time to finish. I've almost decided to get a new laptop, but I'm also feeling like my Shanghai apartment can't handle 2 work stations.

I'm including links, as many of these pieces aren't posted here or here in their entirety. My overall message for this year's summary is "I dare you to find a single shirt!"

January - Unpublished commission. (I guess they didn't like it. lol Still, like +15 hrs of work, and I'm decently proud of my customizations.)

Going forward, I struggle with accepting that I don't have time to do the big project that got me started in 3D, and even some smaller projects that occupy my mind may be out of scope of what I can reasonably do with work and an old laptop. I've resigned myself to a lot of portraits because environments usually bog my system down too much. I've improved (but am still far from perfect) with skin qualities, but I'm really enjoying making customized skins. I'll continue with that. I got Blender on sale, but I haven't touched it. I think I need to start making some other items because it may end up being faster than the ridiculous process I go through to edit my existing content with trans and displacement maps. I would like to finish just one comic sequence, ever. That'll be my realistic goal for 2017.
