Description My card for the upcoming senior show. Concept was thought up by another student.

Concept: You can't know someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Your shoes tell a story about you, you experiences and your personality.

So, I took it, and ran with it. I think it pretty accuratly describes not only my feet and illustration style, but also my nature and personality.

I'm not sure if it needs something more, let me know.

I think Kevin has a foot fetish.

I like the simple, smooth flow to it. And, I also love the blue tones. Really an interesting concept for a card.

I'm so joking with you if you haven't picked it up. I LIKE IT. SO THERE.

I really love it. I don't think it needs more because the simplicity of it lets the viewer sit and think for a minute about the "walking a mile in somebody's shoes" saying. I am a fan of your stuff. I think I learned a bit form you. But nothing to show yet.

Awesome drawing, I like your style very much. Did you draw your own legs?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

object2bdestroyd In reply to guspath [2005-04-01 18:19:33 +0000 UTC]

yeah, they are my legs, wouldn't be very personal if they weren't

guspath In reply to object2bdestroyd [2005-04-02 02:40:43 +0000 UTC]

So, you take a picture of your legs then draw the picture digitally? Sorry for asking such an amateu question, I am really poor in digital drawing. I also draw technical diagram for my origami model and that is the technique I used when I try to draw difficult 3D steps

I can't say it's original, because my highschool teachers always made someone do a doncentration on shoes with that exact concept -
but I can see this is the best rendition I've ever seen of it. Two-tone shading rules, but then you gave it some flare with the outlines. And the composition is perfectly balanced. Nice caption. A very good show card.

Thanks for that, I wasn't to thrilled with the concept either.

not bad! love the impact typeface! the thick bold lines are also a nice touch. Almost looks like a cartoon 3d rendering. The only thing I can suggest is maybe another color somewhere. A little monotone for me, but that's just me. Just trying to help......//

I could have used white, but beyond that its a 2 coor print job.
