SO YEAH.

let's do this thang!!

UM YEAH. ANYWAY.

January - Hella into Tegwarts at the time. Used Tegaki E for this one... messing with colors + light. :3

February + March - "What is art and how do I do it?"

April - HELL YEAH, BACK IN THE SWING OF THINGS... SORTA. More experimenting with Tegaki E and poses and stuff. Also kawaii desu neeeee.

May - FIGURE OUT GIMP BRUSHES AND ATTEMPT TO FIGURE OUT GIMP IN AND OF ITSELF. Kinda REALLY lovestruck at this point, so I drew this to vent some feelings for this guy. YEAH I KNOW I KNOW ""OTL Anyway. LOL WHAT IS ANATOMY AND COLOR SENSE? Also my first failed attempt at texturing, if you look at the scarf.

June - Color sense gets a little better, attempt gradients and some sort of background. Messed with hands more and tried to shade harder. Another failed attempt at texturing.

July - KICK MY ASS INTO GEAR after seeing an amazing artist my age with a comic already up; get all "B'AWWW I'M NOT GOOD ENOUGH SOBUSOBU" and mope for a bit; eventually get started on my own comic which had been running through my head for a couple of years now. Only then had I started to try and really srsly develop it. Learned how to texture and got mentored a bit by the artist I mentioned earlier. MESSED WITH POSES MORE.

August - Learned how to do halftones and try my hand at typography. Gradually using more layers in my digital stuff and trying to try out new things. Loads of textures and okay color sense, except for the fact that the colors were EYE-BLEEDING. derpa derp

September - I START HIGH SCHOOL and get kind of panicky and fragile. Still developing my comic, character design right hurr. Made use of markers and tried some moar traditional media. Also textures. Because textures are fun!

October - Get some more advice from the artist I mentioned earlier and try doing my lineart with the Pencil tool on a HUGEASS (6000X4000 or something) canvas to make it look smoother and make coloring + gradient shading easier. Still awkward with typography and poses.

November - Experiment with SumoPaint and have an awesome time with the paint brushes. Moar character designs up thar. :3

December - Try and do what was natural for me as far as inking went, and that went pretty well, so I decided to do the same for coloring. AND THAT WENT PRETTY OKAY. Tried to moderate my use of textures a little, and figure out how to put logos on fanart like a cool kid. Also become a little less afraid of using references.

Do you guys think I've gotten any better? I see a little improvement but not too much, tbh ;~;
