Description
Court:
Edit: 4/17/17
Basic info -
Name: Jeremejevite
NickName(s): Jem, Jev, Jereme, Jevite
Gemstone: Jeremejevite
Gem Location: Nose
Gender: Female
Height (Compared to a Canon gem): Around Garnet's height, probably shorter.
Occupation: Spy; Undercover as a technician
Class: Spy
Alignment: Rebels (Changes frequently)
Residing Planet: 1st Planet
Weapon: An electric frisbee.
Theme/Inspiration: Electricity, TRIANGLES, purple, the phrase 'having a foot in both worlds'
Bio: Jeremejevite is a rare gem, not absurdly rare, but not the most common. She grew up as a technician, working alongside other gems to keep the colony powered and habitable. But, there was something that made Jem different. She..didn't really feel loyalty to Lavender Diamond's court. Nor the rebels either. She saw the rebellion building up, furious with their Diamond's neutrality. In the end, she decided to join them, not with hate for the court like most, but just because she could. She stayed on her home planet as a spy, as leaving it unexpectedly would make her suspicious. She collects intel and gives it to the rebels in secret, but she doesn't really care who wins in the long run. It doesn't take much for Jem to switch sides; she's done that a couple of times. The hard part is keeping her on one side. After all, she has a foot in both worlds, and doesn't want to pick either.
Abilities: Electrokinesis, and a knack for machines.
Why they came to the Colony: Originally, she was there to help the colony produce electricity to power it. Now, she spies for the rebels.
Fun -
Theme song: It's Time by Imagine Dragons
Synchronized Dance Style: Hip-hop (She knows how to do many of those street dance moves).
Trivia: She is a spunky and excitable gem, always wanting to get head first into situations. Jem is outgoing and friendly, and an all-around good person. Her attitude never changes, even in dark situations she can brighten it up. She is very charismatic, getting most to like her and very few to be suspicious. The one flaw she has is her lack of passion. Other gems in LD's court feel strong dislike towards the rebels, and Jem stands out in that field because she never does anything to show that she truly believes the rebels are a disgrace to the court. She would be easily caught because of that, but over the years of spying, she has become a very good actor in pretending to hate the rebels, when in reality she doesn't care who they are or what they do. The acting also provides Jem the ability to pretend she hates the court when around the rebels, making her seem like a loyal person on both sides of the war.
Headcanons:
-She is fascinated with electricity; how it moves and how it looks
-She can go on for hours and hours chatting without stopping, always finding something new to discuss
-She likes bright colors and neon
-She can be very convincing; even when she does slip up, she has a nice reputation to fall back onto
-She is a disorganized person, her work area is a mess. And when I say mess, I mean MESS

Here's some advice that i think you can benefit from, as a relatively new digital artist. :3
Change your pressure sensitivity settings. It will help change the lines so they are less messy.
Outline and color with two different brush types, otherwise the outline blends into the color.
Don't use the basic brush. If you're using DAMuro, it won't help. If you're using Krita or something more like I use, it SUPER won't help.
That's all, I just like to help people with digital art, seeing as I would have loved some art help when I was starting out.
