Description
This is sorta me, practicing seeing how panels work, and also have pictures to go along with my explanation of what Cheshire did to make her shelter. She first found the area she wanted to use. That would be on land, so she could find a slope of dirt to build into to make the shelter. She wanted her shelter to be somewhat buried, so the sand of the beach would have been a no go since it could easily be flooded. But with this shelter built into a slope, the water would need to rise a lot for the shelter to get flooded.
She started digging first, since it would take the most energy, as well as moving tree limbs over to make the sturdiest wooden frame for the shelter, but since she could just roll those, she focused on using the endurance she brought into the digging. She would then let it recover before getting the trees needed.
So, while she waited to regain her strength, she went ahead and explored the woods, to find the trees she would use. Also while out, she collected leaves, moss, vines, and other small pieces of organic material to use in the process of making the shelter. She used her machete a lot during this process of collecting the supplies she needed to make the shelter, but it required less energy to do so, it was all fine with her.
After she had finished getting enough strength back from digging, she went ahead and started getting the poles of wood she marked with the machete and brought them back to the shelter area, and when she had enough, she started to build, she took her time so she wouldn’t over exhausted herself. She also went ahead and quickly made the beds, since it wasn’t that much of a trouble. She also made the floor sand, it seemed like an odd choice, but she knew that since it was going to be inside, not outside, it would most likely be cold when you return from being out and about the island, so it was be a nice, relaxing sensation when you returned. Once that was done, she took another break before going to collect some stones.
She only had to get small ones, and she placed them into the area she had designate as the fire pit. She was quick to get it lit up with the extra organic material she hadn’t needed when making the shelter. She used two rocks to get the spark she needed to light up a leaf, and it started to burn and it then caught the wood on fire and it started to burn as well.
After that, she when ahead and decided to use the extra, big pieces of wood, to make some that sort of resembled shelves. She did this across from the beds, and used the nails to keep them secure to the wall. Once she was done, she just placed her machete there for the time being.
Everything about the shelter seemed to finished now, she just had to cover the wooden roof with leaves and she added some dirt and sand with no real reason. She went ahead and tripled checked the sturdiness of the structure, and added more rocks or dirt to place that felt a bit loose, and decided then, that it was done. But something was missing... Oh yes! Decorations. For the small decorations she wanted to add, it was just some shells and over things that were on the beach. She just placed the, all around the shelter, and would later make them less chaotic and more organized.
But Cheshire would wait for another time, since for now, she went ahead and leans up against the frame of her shelter, and finally started to let herself rest up fully. She pushed herself and now she was exhausted. She hoped she would get in, since she just spent so much energy into this shelter, and didn’t want it to be all for not since she didn’t get in, and she could have just used her magic if that had been the case. But, she didn’t want to do that anyway, since she wants to earn her place in the competition, not take the easy road.
And that is the end of this part 2 of my entries for the Debut Challenge. I hope you liked it!
