Description
Ok, so for this challenge, Cheshire had to scary the natives away. So, she decided the best way to start was to figure out a base, one that wasn’t near the shelters that the natives had already found and destroyed. She figured that it was time to head back to the waterfall, since it had an exit she could use if the natives came a knockin’. She chose to take the sword, shield, and machete she’d gotten for challenges. She brought some flammable moss and sticks and her torch so she could make small fire distractions. She also brought some vines, just in case is there was nothing to swing on from where she was. She brought her handmade shield and spear from the river challenge, the one that made the natives angry in the first place since the host wasn’t careful enough and had them trespass on their land since they claimed the river. Yeah, that was low, she’d admit to that, and it sucked that talking to them was off the table, but at least she didn’t have to kill them. She understood that she’d have to scare them off, it might be difficult, but she could do it.
So, with all that preparation, it begins. She starts her search, and the first thing she does, is climb into a tree. From there, she starts traveling through the canopies of the trees to find the tallest one. She quickly climbs and rides the wind to the top, and starts looking for the natives. After an hour of watching, she has gathered that she was near at least 3 groups of 5 native, 2 groups of 7 natives, and 1 group of 9 natives. She was going to focus on the groups that only had five natives for now. She also observed that none of the groups when into a densely tree covered area, she made a mental note of that area, maybe she could use it to scare them off. With this knowledge in mind, and a plan starting to brew, she saw it as the time to start.
She grabbed her supplies, put it into her stash, took down the tree she was in, and started towards the closest group, once she was right above them, she dropped a rock in the middle of the group. It made a low noise, but still one they could hear. The natives quickly looked towards it, then into the trees. She then dropped three behind each of them, making them look that way. The one with the largest mask, probably the leader of the group, had his 4 underlings huddle up. They were waiting for anything else to happen. So Cheshire provided, to get them to split up, she grabbed her moss, lit it on fire with flint, and tossed it as far as she could away from the group. That got the attention of the 4, and all of them went towards it, it was a small fire, but they had to quickly put it out before it spread. With that, the leader grumbled, and before Cheshire had landed behind him, he was turned around. Without wasting any time, she used her sword and machete to block a hit from the natives blade. Using her quick speed, Cheshire dashed around him, hit blow after blow, while he just tried to hit her. At some point in the fight, she felt the two shields her had against her back and chest be hit, probably by the two natives using blow darts and arrows, but all they hit were the shields, so they weren’t much of a problem at the moment. All that mattered was taking the leader down. So, after a few more blows to his blade with her blade, and him wheezing for breathe, she upperkicked him, causing him to fall and be K.O.ed. But just because he was out, doesn’t mean it was over. She then quickly threw her vine and lankied herself up into the trees, before the other 4 natives could attack her. Before she started the second part of the plan, she waited for them to check their leader and make sure he would be ok.
She got their attention by stealing their weapons. That got them riled up and they started to chase after her. She started leading towards the densely tree populated area and once she reached the branches she looked back and noticed them slowing down. Seems like she was right to assume that this area was a scary place. She continued once they saw her again, and she took off into the branches of the dense trees. She made sure to always have visual on them, but make it so they couldn’t see her, until they stopped chasing and stopped to look around. Cheshire stopped too, and watched, wanting to make sure nothing happened, she couldn’t kill them, but she didn’t want something else to kill them either. Long story short, the natives were frightened back into running out of the dense trees by some predatory animals and beasts, Cheshire was spooked by it too but still stayed in the trees, and it all ended with them getting the heck out of the there, with Cheshire providing some aerial assistance by using the natives own bow and arrows to hit the beasts, getting them out of there. Once they were out, and they started to look for her again once they were a ways away, Cheshire was already running through the trees away from them, back towards the leader native. What she saw was him started to become conscious again. She just, quickly, jumped down, left the natives weapons next to him, and started back through the trees towards the tall tree once again get her barrings. She was able to see from there though, the 4 natives coming back to leader one, and it seemed like they were all shaken by what had just happened, but she couldn’t tell exactly what was happen.
All she knew was, that she’d have to do this many more time if she wanted to scary them away permanently. This was going to take a long time, and some reworking of the plan so it when more smoothly, but she had the basic down now. All that was left to do was to executed it.
