Description I like how this turned out, just did everything how I normally do these days, I grabbed a background texture and played with it a little and added some Elfen lied stuff to it :3

Background texture can be found here:

If anyone is a real monster, it is the humans who called her a monster.

I mean, she did murder a lot of people who didn't do anything to her..

Still...it gives viewers of how monsters are made, not born. It probably wouldn't have happened if the humans she encountered acted more civilized and accepting instead of judgmental cruel monsters who were just as bad.

That's incorrect unfortunately, somewhere in the middle of the story we're told and showed that the Dicloni start to kill humans at a very young age whether they were abused or not, and are described as "born to take over humanity". Which is evident by a simple touch from their vectors are enough to implant their DNA into the male host which in turn produces Dicloni children

That can explain why Lucy kept hearing a voice in her head telling her to kill. Why that little girl in the apartment killed her parents and the officers who came to aid her. Even why the people from the lab keep panicking every time a Dicloni gets out exclaiming that many people will be killed in their wake Β

Reminds me of what I saw in X-Men, Terminator, I Robot, Hide and Seek, and Village of the Damned. There are those that will remain evil and destructive, while some will grow to feel and seem able to feel emotions. I just started watching the show, although some is hard to watch because of the nudity and gore, but I tend to keep my eyes away at scenes that are hard to watch. Sometimes it is hard to remember every single detail when explaining the origins of these creatures. For now it seems that once Lucy has been triggered into her other split personality, it becomes hard for her to control it or remember what happened after that. I'll have to watch the rest of the series to understand this.

Reading the manga will help you understand more. The anime was made whilst the manga was still being published. So the anime takes a lot of liberties and has it's own endingΒ

Just saw all the episodes and I must say that I felt sympathy for Nyu who was surrounded by nothing more than heartless people all her life, especially the monsters who killed her dog companion who deserved their brutal death. If only someone more compassionate and understand would have taught her how to move on from friendships that don't work out, like that one girl who lied to her. Now because of them, it triggered the split personality of Lucy who will kill anyone that gets in her way, bad or not, even the sister and father of someone else she saw as a friend. I almost didn't know what to feel for her there, feeling most of my sympathy just slip away, killing someone who didn't do anything to deserve it. I can understand how those other heartless people gave her the thought that anyone who acts friendly toward her will care one moment and then turn their back on you when you least expect it. Once the other split personality triggers, the former can no longer realize what is happening, nor can they control it. It's like all that anger, fear, confusion, and sadness manifested into the other split personality of Lucy soon after.

And even the last episode had me mixed, wanting to still feel sympathy for her when all she wanted was to be loved by someone who accepted her. Still she caused great amount of pain, suffering, and sadness to the boy named Kouta by killing his sister and father which is unforgivable, even if she was showing and feeling remorse for it.
