To avoid the fact of not having males in the Spin-off, they changed a lot of Pixies into males. Digit, Livy and Tune are the ones I recall.

but tune is still female in pop pixie, its a digit, livy and zing who are changed, i don't see why they would take out tune apart from the fact it would generate more revenue for the new pixies but its attrocious

Yeah, but Digit and Tune were never a big part of PopPixie. By season 6 of Winx Club, they want to promote PopPixie and it's Cherie and Caramel who were big part of this show, not Tune and Digit.
