Lockdown

Like many fans, I was first introduced to the character of Lockdown in Transformers Animated. That's because he's an original character created for the show.
Lockdown was inspired by Marvel Comics character, Death's Head, who prominently appeared in G1 Transformers comics published in the UK. But despite this prominence, Death's Head was owned by Marvel and Lockdown was created so that Hasbro can have their own version of Death's Head. Early concept art depicted Lockdown as having a Frankenstein-like appearance but his final design reflected his sinister personality that is all business.

In Transformers Animated, Lockdown was once a student of Autobot Ninja Master, Yoketron, but was kicked out for bringing shame to the Corps. In retaliation, Lockdown lead a squad of Decepticons to the training center where he killed Yoketron and took his helmet. Lockdown would later confront the Autobot medic, Ratchet (whose EMP Generator he had stolen) while the latter was tending the wounded Arcee. Lockdown would eventually confront Yoketron's student, Prowl, who defeated him using the very upgrades the former provided him.

Lockdown proved to be a popular character in Animated. He received several toys in the Animated toyline:
1. A Deluxe Class toy that came with an engine that transforms into the EMP Generator and can be used on Deluxe Ratchet. Despite being a Deluxe, Lockdown's robot mode was Voyager to Leader-size. He was redecoed/retooled into Blazing Lockdown (which give him gold color scheme), Stealth Lockdown (which was mostly cast in clear plastic) and the Stunticon Wildrider.
2. A smaller Activators Lockdown (which was later redecoed into Bandit Lockdown)
3. Bumper Battlers Lockdown

Because of his popularity, later incarnations of the Transformers would introduce their own version of Lockdown:
1. The live action film continuity which see Lockdown, who bore resemblance to his Animated counterpart, appear in its tie-in games and toyline. He would eventually make his appearance in the big screen as the main antagonist of the 2014 film, Age of Extinction.
2. Lockdown also appeared in the Aligned Continuity. His toy was repainted/retooled from Animated Lockdown with the color scheme of his Bayverse counterpart.
3. A Decepticon bounty hunter in G1 whose toy was just a repurpose of his ROTF toy.
4. A Decepticon bounty hunter from the Cloud countinuity.
5. A heroic Decepticon from Shattered Glass
6. A companion of the Decepticon-turned-Autobot Clobber (whose design was based on Animated Lugnut) from Cyberverse.

For my version of Lockdown, his body design was based off from his Animated, Bayverse and Aligned counterparts. In my story, Lockdown replaces Soundblaster (who, in my story, is the upgrade for Soundwave).
Notice how Soundblaster's highlights were light green instead of the Autobot blue or Decepticon red.
And also notice how my Lockdown's insignia is similar to his Animated counterpart as opposed to the Mercenary insignia. That's because I previously had difficulty drawing a tiny version of the insignia.

Bio:
Lockdown was the leader of the Mercenary faction (which consisted of unaligned Cybertronian bounty hunters) stationed in Cybertron. At one point, he had been good friends with Prowl before the latter left to join the Autobots. To Lockdown, "Business is business" and would only work for the highest bidder.
Lockdown would also find himself at odds with Doubledealer, another leader of the Mercenary Faction.

Lockdown's group of Mercenaries consisted of:
Bug Bite
Coneheads - Ramjet, Dirge and Thrust
Nightbird
Exhaust
Mudflap

Alt Mode:
Lockdown transforms into a Cybertronian sports car (similar to Siege Prowl) with an engine block.

Weapons/Accessories:
1. A hand-transforming hook
2. An engine block/double-barreled blaster
3. Energon sword with a curved hilt
4. Like his Age of Extinction counterpart, Lockdown's head can transform into a cannon
