Description
This is a quick tutorial I made in response to a question I received about how my mandalas are made. I hope to make more detailed tutorials in the future explaining how I design my knot work and produce a finished piece but that will have to wait until my schedule slows a bit. This will at least give people a starting point. If you want more, just let me know!-just an ironic tidbit: I had just purchased my first Wacom tablet a couple days before making this and I was a bit obsessed. So my tutorial on how to hand draw mandalas was designed with a digital pen. Go figure.
: )
If you would like to see what this simple technique can result in, check out either Inclusion or S.E.M. in my gallery. (I don't know how to post a link, sorry.)

may I quote you "any figure that seems complicated is, in truth, just a lot of simple shapes in disguise" ? and hard work, I must add. This sums up what I have always wanted to tell people when they say my art is good [It happens, sometimes] and I couldn't find a good phrase. I love your symmetry work!
