Description
this is my entry for the contest:I chose the two characters in my opinion the most emblematic and complementary: the powerfull Diablo against the dark Zeratul, contrast of colors and entity that creates, in my opinion a balance of power and colors.
I gave the work a slightly desaturated look I liked to think of the future as a confrontation took place in a mythical past.

What a great action shot! Quite an atmosphere to it.Β I find my eyes following anti-clockwise around the piece and resting on that illuminated green weapon.
The larger creature's stance is well placed out, with some great detail, and I like how his claw reaches out like that. Despite the other character being more to the fore, this character stands out the most -- such a demonic, engulfing presence!
Lovely details on the closer creature, too, he looks very battle ready through his stance, and what you can gage from his expression. I like the subtle tonal details on his arm armour.
The characters really come out strong on the 'page', against the unfocused background which comes across very effectively itself, giving the idea of the destruction happening behind them enough (and with some lovely details of the light and dark, not to mention the balance of the green and red for both characters to represent a seemingly even fight at this stage), without taking away majorlyΒ from the characters themselves.

I think the desaturation was a good choice, the characters' colors were too bright. Though your background in the full color is gorgeous!
