Description
My Wildstar main Slade Frackwell in front of the oldest saloon on the Entity server, the Rusty Bucket Roadhouse. I built and opened the RBR to the server population in June 2014, about one month after the servers went live. Since I was constantly adding some new gadget or piece of junk every week or so, it was never really finished but was rather a continuous work-in-progress...that progress ended today.This shot was taken shortly before Wildstar's servers went dark at 5pm EST November 28th, 2018.

It was a good time, and I never thought I would build a virtual space that was as much a home as it was a creative expression. I'll be gathering and posting more images of it as time goes on.

I know what it's like for a favorite MMO to be cut out from under you. I never got a chance to come by the RBR, but it always looked awesome.

It's not the first MMO I've been around for shutdown, but it's the first since City of Heroes where the sense of loss is profound. I have a hard time faulting NCSoft for shutting down money pits, but at the same time I'm done with any new MMOs. Its a dying genre in the West and I figure once World of Warcraft is over with, I'm done with MMOs permanently.
