Now you need one with Nintendo and a Wii bell, unrung, with the dog flooding the Earth.

I can basically see the entire βgamer cultureβ as this. Each one of the big three out there trying to either dangle the same nostalgia slathered meat for their particular die hard fan base, equally boasting the same shortsighted upgrade of their shiny new piece of shit , or playing of the same tired out game clicks. My only wish for this βnext generationβ is the overall destruction of the video game business. I pine for the twilight days of Atari and hope beyond all hope, that each new system utterly fails to maintain their consumer base and usher in a glorious new dark age of gaming ending in mass suicide of every peon that dragged this all out to where it is now.
Far fetched, but I can dream.

Not entirely, it would bring to question why Atari didnβt entirely liquidate or why America designs any games. Just because they arenβt boasting a console doesnβt mean they are not in the business of giving you the business, hell itβs more profitable that way. And donβt forget the theorized dead system known as the home computer.
As long as you have a consumer base that puts heroin attics to shame you have a thriving videogame economy.

It's true that the market's changed a lot over the years, but so have the people who play the games as well.

And each year they take the idea of their little elite existence of sitting on their ass and throwing out more death threats then Fred Phelps on Xbox live and counterstrike into a higher state of up-their-own-ass. Forming more severe βersonal relationshipsβ to fictional characters from final fantasy (and those other unknown RPGs) all the while balancing the need to argue the most inane facets of their electronic crack on every single game-variation forum out there. What do you think I meant by peon?
I say its time for an overhaul if things keep up like this. They donβt even think to include those who play hopscotch into their little group.

With news of the PS3 delayed till march in Europe, I'm thinking of getteing another console. Funny how you use a great demonstation of psychology with modern satire.

A white pimp and.....some other guy smash a newly bought PS3, right in front of a line of people waiting to buy one.

That's the strength of putting marketing first and foremost for ya.
I found the whole fiasco rather entertaining, except for that guy in Conneticut who got shot(?).

Yeah, some guy was shot twice and mugged outside of a Walmart in Conneticut after buying a ps3. He's alright though, thankfully.

all we need now is a gang war over the PS3.

In that case, a ps3 or old xbox would make a damn fine shield.

I think its strange, most said no one would pay over 600 $ for a console but people are paying 3 times that amount for it...(rolls eyes)
As one said above, the first lines are bound to be buggy, I bet a lot arrive DOA.
My 2 cents

Its ridiculous how anxious some people are getting. Personally, I'd wait for the price to drop at least 100$ as supply-incr/demand-decr.
I just hope there isn't a PS3 mayhem during christmas.

...as this is the first shipment of the PS3, I expect the early adopters to find serious flaws in the platform. All of these consumers who pay top dollar for the launch product are just beta testers.

LOL Yeah that pretty much sums it up! Insane! I have not seen crap like this since Star Wars Ep. I. To which I know some people who lost their jobs because they went to see that movie? Was is worth it? HMmmmm...
Anyway, I saw on the news people sitting waiting for two days in the cold for the PS3....the one guy didn't want to be filmed who could blame him. LOL

Unlikely, as Nintendo is supposed to have 800,000 units in the channel for launch. I don't really think shortages will be an issue for the holidays.
