I used craft foam! You can find that stuff at walmart in multi-colored sheets like this: [link]
((I /think/ I use foamies, but the brand doesn't matter, it's all the same.))

So, what I did was cut out the shape of the black part first. I made it solid, yanno not just as a border but a whole piece. Then I cut out the smaller silver piece. After placing them on top of eachother I cut out ONLY the middle hole from the black part.

So at this point you have two pieces. Now spray painted them appropriate colors. Make sure you coat the craft foam with white glue first, or the foam will just absorb the spray paint and it won't be shiny. For the black part I used a sort of shiny metalic black so it wasn't just flat black.

So now for the red bits. I used a plastic translucent divider for a binder that I found at the 99 cent store. Problem is I can't see very well, especially in low light. I ran into another Godot who was using what looked to be red tinted saran rap or that wrapping paper stuff. She said she could see just fine, so I'd go with that, lol. Just glue in a solid red sheet of whatever your using to back of the silver part only.

Now you can attach the two pieces! I stuck a little bit of craft foam inbetween to give it the sort of raised look. To attach it to my wig I made a little hole on the side of the black part and tied in some elastic string. If you're wearing a wig the color doesn't matter because you can stick it under it.

So I hope that was understandable. XD; I would offer to commision you one, but I think you can handle this. ((Plus I would be afraid of making it too small for your head. o.o; ))
