Am I the only person who doesn’t completely hate the New 52? Granted, I’ve only been reading comics for a little more than a month and the majority of the DC titles I’ve read have all been from the New 52, but I feel like I know enough about the pre-boot to know that DC fucked up big time. Still, it’s been looking up lately. And there have been additions to the universe that I have really liked.
My knowledge of Supergirl was very minimal until I read a few odd issues from the New 52, and I fell in love with her straight away. And while it took me a bit to get used to her costume, I realise I like this look better. So yeah, I just HAD to draw her.

Serena I've been trying not to draw superheroes and that's all I can draw I think I drew percy jackson once and that's about it I need other things to draw I just finished reading divergent I want to draw characters from that and I want to draw original stuff but everytime I try something other than superheroes it ends up shit I'm so scared

DIVERGENT IS PRETTY GOOD AND I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT. IF YOU LIKE THE HUNGER GAMES THEN YOU'LL LIKE THIS. I ACTUALLY LIKE THE MAIN CHARACTER A LOT MORE THAN KATNISS, WHICH IS REFRESHING.

I just don't like the "crotch triangle". The costume she wears in "The World's Finest #0" from last year, which is a more consistent blue leotard with S logo and belt area stripe, is what she ought to be wearing instead.

I have to admit, I haven't read that one and I had to google the image, but you're right. I do like that better. And it'd be great if it was drawn with all the details of her current costume. Also I never understood the bare knees thing either.

The character in World's Finest #0 is actually Power Girl. That's what she wore on her own Earth, where she was Supergirl. I do like that one. I like Earth-1 Supergirl's costume but I'm with Awesome-O, I'd prefer it without the crotch triangle. It just makes no sense. I'm hoping that at some point she'll either 1) Get shorts instead or 2) get shorts under a skirt again, like the pre-reboot SG. Also the bare knees are silly.

yMan, Power Girl had a more sensible costume on her own planet than now. I don't know if she still has the boob window but I hope they got rid of it because that shit's bad for aerodynamics.

Well, they did redesign Power Girl for the New 52 and actually made her costume a full-body one, see it here alongside Supergirl in Supergirl #19: www.cosmicteams.com/jsa/_new-5…
But Worlds' Finest had a rather tiresome running gag of making that outfit get ripped and damaged to eyebrow-raising levels, and it happens again in SG #19. So when they go to Supergirl's sanctuary, the computer there gives her a replacement from Supergirl's wardrobe. And therefore, in SG #20:

You should read both of those issues when you can, they're pretty good. I don't really like Worlds' Finest itself that much.

I need to reread all of Supergirl in general. I REALLY wish my library had them, because they have the latest issues of The Superior Spider-Man, Avengers, Batman, Detective Comics, Justice League, The Hulk, Red She Hulk (of all things), Superman, Uncanny X-Men, Wonder Woman and, um, The Simpsons.
But there are too many others I want to read.
(I'm still freaking out over Forever Evil.)

Something like that, yes, along with a fair bit of action, but I hear mixed opinions about it. I tried it, got bored with it after issues 1 & 2. A lot of commentators considered Supergirl #19 & 20 the best writing that Power Girl has had in the New 52! This blog has reviewed every issue of WF: comicboxcommentary.blogspot.co… That guy is also a Supergirl uberfan, so if it relates to Supergirl he's probably written about it!
My library doesn't have any comics at all, it's kind of tiny. Maybe you could make a request?

I will definitely be reading through all his reviews once I get the time.
I don't know if I can actually do that, considering I'm only a first year, but I'll give it a go. I know they have a real problem with getting rid of old comics so I'll have to see. If not, I guess I'm just going to have to wait till I have money to buy stuff. It's like $4 a comic here. It's ridiculous.
