A lot of people sent asks to my Tumblr inbox wanting to see this hypothetical scenario, so I obliged. It was definitely a challenge for me to draw but I had a lot of fun doing this one.Although I posted this on my Tumblr and on RWBY Amino a while back, I finally decided to upload it here as well since I've been absent for quite some time.

Ascended Cinder's maiden powers were capable of melting Pyrrha's sword. Note that Jaune's shield is actually made out of the remains of her sword and shield.
Cinder could easily destroy it.
Not to mention she can, you know, fly...and has an infinite supply of magical attacks due to not needing Dust...and can manipulate the weather and call lightning...and her Aura is strong enough to deflect bullets with her bare hands...

1. We have no idea how strong Jaune's shield really is. The shield is just as old as the sword itself, and given how it is almost certainly the same sword we see in the Beacon statue, the shield is likely much, much tougher than Pyrrha's. Remember, pyrrha's shield was used as a throwing weapon, hence it needed to be lightweight. So, given that Jaune's shield has since been upgraded, it could easily be strong enough to withstand Cinder's fire, even if only for a short time.
2. Cinder's power is NOT infinite. The Maidens' powers are specifically tied to their Aura. Therefore, they have limits.
3. EVERYONE'S Aura is able to deflect bullets. However, Cinder's Aura, like that of everyone else, is NOT limitless. And we already know that Jaune has a lot more Aura than most.
There. Every single point you raised can be easily countered. And that's without taking Jaune's Semblance into consideration. There's likely a very good reason why his Semblance hasn't been revealed yet.

So? Pyrrha got owned by Cinder as well. So your point proves nothing, really. Also, it's the FIRST time ANYONE other than Ozpin or Pyrrha has fought Cinder, so no one else really knows how to fight her. Basing your conclusion on the first encounter between two enemies is very premature.

Yeah, that's why Jaune couldn't even hold balance against a small blast from Ascended Cinder in V3E11.

Cinder never experienced any exhaustion from using her powers to kill Ozpin. Do you actually think Jaune is more capable and has stronger abilities than Oz?

No, just the Maidens. And they still take damage and feel pain. Cinder just casually shrugs off bullets and flicks them away with her hands.

We can't really judge anything on that until we know what his semblance is. All we know is that it somehow allows him to reflect or redirect attacks (he used it for this in V1 against Cardin, confirmed on the directors' commentary) but its actual ability isn't defined. We don't even know if it can work on ranged or magical attacks like Cinder's.
Also, you're still ignoring that Cinder can fly and Jaune can't.

So far, we´ve only seen Cinder either hover a bit above ground or use her flames to propel herself through the air. And while it is true that Cinder´s magical abilities are more powerful than Jaune´s aura, you´re forgetting something very crucial here: Ozpin created the maidens. He set their limitations, meaning that he knows how to defeat Cinder. He could tell Jaune, and then Jaune would have an advantage over Cinder, because he knows her weakness.
I mean, Cinder herself doesn´t seem aware of the limitations of her powers, other than that silver eyes can f*ck her up big time.
So, if Ozpin tells Jaune about a crucial flaw in a maiden´s powers, which he left in case they turn evil, Jaune could exploit this.
It´s kinda like Sun Tzu said: "If you know the enemy, and know yourself, you need not fear the results of a hundred battles. If you know yourself, but not the enemy, for every victory gained, you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle."
I´m not saying he´ll have an easy win once he knows how to beat the maiden´s powers, but knowing what to watch out for does help in any given situation, right?

She flies about 20-30 feet above the ground when fighting Ozpin.

Well, she actually just hovers higher than usual. She isn´t seen doing anything that I would qualify as "flying" anywhere.
The only thing that comes close to flying, in my opinion, is when she shoots herself up the elevator.

But Cinder got fooled by Raven and took Vernal for the Spring Maiden.
And at least Jaune wasn´t affected when Ruby used her silver eyes. Had Cinder not provoked him beforehand, he could´ve cut her head off or something.

Yeah, just watched the finale yesterday, and I gotta say: People with red eyes seem to have the most powerful semblances.
Light blue eyes seem to indicate a versatile semblance, though.
