Tattoo commission for VahxThis is a tattoo designed to symbolize trancendance and the cycle between life, death and rebirth. Vahx seems very happy with the design and I must say I am happy about that, nothing like a satisfied customer to brighten your day huh?
Comment away of course but no nabbing this tatt without asking myself and first, this IS her tattoo now after all
:edit: Bollocks, uploaded an old file by mistake, the runes on the spikes were tiny and would not show up well as a tattoo (text would be too fine for the ink) the LATEST file is now in place instead. Looks mucho better

This is interesting - I know this is OLD work - but new to me. Is this about transcending, defying the cycles? I'd love a walk through.

Yeah in a sense, I use a lot of circles in these designs to represent symmetry, perfection and also the cyclic nature of life, with the arrows and lines represent the crossing of those boundaries.
Of course there is a lot of room for interpretation, but that part of the point with designs like these, you give them your own meaning

I'm using two different sets of runes in this tatt, one is known as the Alphabet of the Magi and the other is the Theban Alphabet and the runes speak of the cycle of death and rebirth.
Since the tatt is personal to you can ask her for the full meaning
