In the deepest parts of the ocean men are intruders, and intruders are rarely welcome.

Deep sea creatures fascinate me, there are so many strange creatures being discovered in the depths of the ocean, and who knows what ageless things could be lurking in the deepest darkest parts of it?

I wanted to convey this idea in my monster artwork, with a submarine finding (or being found by) something so unfathomable that only a single gargantuan eye can be seen through the depths.
