Description
This took about an hour and a half to make. I had an extremely hard time finding some footage of the ponies walking towards the camera and every time I did find something, the scene had the body cropped out a bit so I couldn't see the walk cycle in its entirety. Since this was basically done out of that source and my own head and previous walk cycles, I think I did a good job on this.Feel free to drop a comment on what seems to not fit right, or you can use it as a reference for your own animation. I don't care if you credit me or not.

That would be nice, making cartoons every week. Pity a full-time job and college are in the way.

Uhm, it might be me, but I'm pretty sure ponies don't walk with both their right and then their left legs. I'm pretty sure it's a front right back left, front left back right cycle, or vise versa. Other than that, still a great job!

Considering you said how difficult finding footage was, this is pretty darn impressive given that feat.

Very nicely done, here is a page you might find useful for other types of gaits. [link] it has the firing orders of all types of horse walks and runs. Enjoy.

Not bad, but I think I can help.
Did you look at this breakdown for the Smile song? > [link]
I'm not an animator but I'm sure it could be helpful

I saw that before working on this. The issue is that he's breaking down a march, and this is a casual walk.

I think it's pretty well done. Looks a bit off but that might be because it's coloured bright green and red... or the fact that it's missing a head. Never the less well done!

There's a great breakdown of a walk cycle with the same camera angle on Youtube. That might be helpful

I saw that, but that's more of a march, and I needed a more casual walk. The video did help though.

It's a body walking towards the camera. No neck. No head.
