Really nicely done Catnip, don't listen to the shock, she's not a slut and those ribbons would have ended me putting them on. Keep up the good work.

Thank you very much for your kind words!
- The ribbon did take quite some time, but honestly I love the result of it, so was worth it!

Shaming people for the way they portray their characters is pretty disgusting, tbh. They're not hurting anyone nor are have they done anything to warrant such nastiness from you. Instead of making unwanted remarks at someone's art consider keeping such things to yourself and doing something more productive with your time. Go make your own art and stop being nasty to people who put hard work and effort into theirs. I'd also probably be careful with the slut shaming when you've got a bunch of lewd art favorited on your DA account.
Or maybe just stop being an ass and mind your own business.
Cheers.

I think my main question here is how does anyone know she's a slut anyway? Slut is defined as "a woman who has many casual sexual partners." however there is nothing in the image or description that suggests this to be the case. She could very well be married and dressed like this for her husband/wife, or even for her boyfriend/girlfriend. Jumping to slutty just because of how someone is shown in a photo makes no sense to me. Also slut shaming makes no sense to me in the first place. If someone wants to do things with everyone in their vicinity what would that even matter? Their body, their rules.
Besides, it's pointless to comment this on someone's art post of a commission they did. What a crappy, crappy thing to do.
Finally, I see no reason to be rude to someone over their own character and how they choose to have it portrayed. If someone had slut shamed his character commission of his character in lingerie that I had done for him, I would have shot that person down myself. The disrespect is through the damn roof.
Also, Cat, sorry for having this discussion on your post. Lovely work as always.

It's not okay with me to slut shame anyone irl or online, or someone's character. It's idiotic and in this instance hypocritical. You do you! Don't let anyone bring you down!

I second this, if I wanted to pick someone's character apart. I could probably do so, just because I disagree with a certain way something is made (mostly the poster who was negative that I'm speaking of here.) It's a bit saddening when it looks like the only goal of people is to provoke a reaction of saying "Hey, that's a bit bad to say. Maybe it'd be better for you not to comment at all." and then when you mention it, you are sassy. I wouldn't usually bother to say anything, but seeing as this same person is writing on several posts about how a character is "bad" in one way or another, it gets a bit much.Β
You don't like something, cool. Click away, you see something actually -wrong- with the piece from artistic point of view and -know- how to fix it? Go ahead, give constructive criticism. Just leave the meaningless provocative comments unsaid.Β
Speaking of, so I don't leave this comment just as part of fluff.
It's really nice to see you improvising and delivering even on the harder requests of your commissioners. The ribbons areΒ nicely placed and the gloss effect really works here. Come so far from the first pieces, or even looking at what you made around this time, a year ago. I hope you get more commissions and chances to improve your skills. Oh and the tree actually has lights!

Bane.
Critisism is fine. Different forms of art are fine. Having a strong opinion on something is also fine.
If you're going to comment on a piece however, be respectful.
You're bound to end up with such a reputation that no artist wants to work with you if you do things like this.
