Aaaw ;w; I understand ;w;
But in fact, I had a lot of problems of persons and websites stealing my works even if it was commissions... For example, I have recently found about 5 websites where my works (custom box backgrounds) appear without my permission and are listed as "free downloads" (usually these websites are scam websites, where the "contact" link doesn't even work and where the rules of the websites do not even exist) ...
Making a free background would mean that ANYONE (even someone who's not on DA) could take my work to make photomanipulations/could modify it/could crop it/ could claim it as its own ; because internet is full of persons who don't read the rules and don't even mind about copyright rules... I have already a lot of problems with my works stolen even if they have a watermark so making a free one would make things get even worse...
I hope you understand sweetie <3 But I do art trades, and sometimes some "suggest your background idea" event for my watchers >w<

You're right, some people think the internet is full of "free pictures" and think they can do whatever they want with them... They're so wrong and unfortunately, these people represent about 80 % of the Internet users ;w;
