You are most welcome . Yep, I noticed with your avatar which I just realized is this deviation
. Ah, one of the most popular digital art software these days
. Once I get back into drawing on a regular basis, I'm going to try out Krita since I can't get SAI (broke) and I'd rather not get a cracked version. Yeah, from what I see from the UI it looks quite straight forward. Good design overall

yup it is haha! i haven't heard about Krita but i'm sure there's plenty of good programs out there =] i honestly see no quality difference between drawings made in photoshop and SAI. only thing that might make photoshop a better choice is the wider variety of edits and brushes you can use. other than that, the result is basically the same

Krita is a free digital art program. It's one of the few free programs that is similar to SAI (although it can also make animation and has some basic comic book templates). Check it out if you like, but since you have SAI you probably won't need it. I'll take your word for it since I've never used SAI. I've just heard that many people prefer it more than Photoshop since it's geared only with digital drawing/painting and don't have to worry about the extra features. I guess it's all about taste .

the interface reminds me a bit of photoshop but it seems like an all inclusive program if it even has animation ;o which is pretty cool SAI was my first "professional" program i started using after MS paint XDD at the time i would watch a lot of speedpainting videos (which i still do and helped a ton!) and i kinda got accustomed to the interface from there so figured i would give it a shot as wellΒ Β turned out it was a wise choice for me! but regardless of what programs you use, you still need to do a lot of experimenting with the brushes and features till you get the hang of it =]

I can see that yeah. I guess many free programs do that on purpose since they know a good amount of digital artist use Photoshop so it's easier to get into that way. The animation feature is still pretty new, but it looks like the next major update will improve on it. Man one can be surprised seeing what art one can make in MS paint....it just takes a lot of patience and dedication . That's neat though
. You can learn from those speed painting videos? That's some quick eyes
. Agreed
