Description
Watched 86 (Eighty-Six) anime recently, and I had a thought to draw mech stuff again.M10A1 Mobile Assault Gun "Doery" alongside expendable automated units, E.A.U. (Mk.4 missile launcher type).
It's big, bulky but surprisingly mobile. Designed as a mass production units against the Swarms. Has crew of 3. Pilot, Commander and Gunner.
It carriesΒ M68A2 105mm gun, capable of firing APFSDS darts and HEAT-FS alike with considerable velocity and penetration. It has fire rate of 15 rounds/minute thanks to the external autoloader at the rear of the gun breech.
Protected with 102mm of armor angled at 60degree at the frontal hull, whereas the side, rear and top/bottom has general thickness of 40-30mm RHA. Legs are rather vulnerable, thus protected by extra 80mm of armor plating, ERAs and Slat armor. Despite this, this thing is still vulnerable to literally everything but small arms and machinegun fire.
It runs on M130-Core engine, the way this works is idk lol. Sekrit dokument. The "feet" has a decent surface area to reduce the ground pressure.
It serves the role as both main bulk of armored forces of the Republic and the Federation.
The doctrine in which this thing perform is to flank and support like the WW2 US tank destroyer due to the lack of survivability.
But in most cases, it's used as a main forces to spearhead into enemy units due to how mobile it is, despite the high chances of casualties.
