After ten years of attempting to photograph this magnificent deep space object (you can see my paltry DSLR attempts in my gallery), I couldn't hold on any longer and had to share what I've done so far.

This is my first image in a year and my first attempt at narrowband processing.

NGC6188 mapped to the Hubble palette of sulphur II for red, hydrogen alpha for green and oxygen III for blue.

I still need to blend in the LRGB stars to get rid of the purple stars and replace them with natural colours.

This is 24 hours of data, 8 hours in each channel of hydrogen alpha, sulphur II and oxygen III, captured over 18 nights in June, July and August.

I hope you like what I've done thus far.
