It looks so perfect... I love the simplicity of this one. You don't know if the ice is holding on to the branches or the branches holding on to the ice. There's something really gripping about this pic.

if I didn't look twice, I would have said this was a painting... a single extraction of winters grip is presented in this photo... a very subtle representation, with very chilling colours... its almost like there is a landscape forming within the waters surface... its a very stunning photograph... one that portrays somewhat both the beauty and wrath of winter in a single image...

I could sit & look at this photo for hours! The background colour is so somber yet the clarity of the ice lifts it right out of the frame, as if it was a 3 dimensional picture. The framing & the minimal border add to an already amazing shot.

The reflection makes the image even more dramatic than it all ready is. The ice hanging on till the end and unwilling to give up it's hold...almost seems as though it's desperately trying to retain it's identity before it's lost forever in the transformation to water.

Skemtileg samsetning af ís og vatni. gaman að sjá undir klagan á trjánum speglast í vatninu.
Myndinn er rosalega góð vel uppsett og vel stað set. Þar sem það má sjá botninn á vatninu og eingi spegil myndinna af skýjunum, einna sem ég sé við þessa mynd er það mér fynnst snjórinn verða soldið oflýstur frá sólinni en það skemir í rauninni ekkert fyrir frábæri mynd.

I like this. At first sight u don't realise, but looking at the reflection makes it clear that the ice is floating in the air, above the water.Nice composed and very atmospheric!
