It's all soft and blurry and pretty. Whenever I take pictures that are meant to be blurry, it just looks like I'm a crappy photographer - this is lovely.

Thank you very much.
Do you have an example of a blurred photo that you are not satisfied with?
I recomennd experimenting with different shutter speeds and overexposure.
Post processing such as Contrast/Brightness and sharpness can dramaticly alter the impact of a blurred shot.

No I don't - All the ones that are blurred I got rid of when I had to make space. I've not ended up with any blurry ones recently.
Sorry I took so long replying, been too busy to look on here much.

Yes, it really looks like a painting. I love the different green tones and the blury effect, really beautiful composition.

Absolutely wonderful colors and tones. If I didn't know better, I'd say this looked rather suspiciously like an oil painting. But thankfully I do know better, and know you're talented enough with a camera to pull that off.
I absolutely love the fluidity of the image, and the title holds a lot of meaning. It fits the image well.
Excellent job man, keep up the good work!
(Anything else done to this 'sides some wind and a long exposure?)

Thanks for the comment Bob.
I put EXIF info in the description. The effect is really just a slow vertical movement and a slow shutter speed. It was also raining so the plant was wet.
I do like expressionistic painting very much and I am working on expressionistic works with the camera. I do think that I was successful with this one.

I am not sure what you mean by "long exposition i supose no".
Do you mean long exposure?
Yes this is taken with a slow shutter speed.

Thanks for the comment and the you are so helpful.
How do I enter this photo into *shooga's competition?
I have looked at her profile but the only info I see is:
Okay people. This is the last call. You have one week to turn in your entries for the green contest. Next Saturday I'll make a new journal entry listing all the dev's with links and the voting will start. One week.

ok, what you do is send her a note and tell her you have a photo to submit...the theme of this competition is "green" The photo I submitted is in my scraps if you want to look, its called. "Where laura keeps her secrets". I think the last day is tomorrow so you'd need to get on to it.

I have no idea how to technically express how amazing this photo is. I would imagine there are so very unique things going on with focus, light and time but regardless...this is a very cool and gorgeously coloured photo.
