Before ya'll jump to conclusions, no the bleeding buggar there is not the grumpy butt Ulli. Timeline wise this is going on before that kid is even born, so very long time before that.
This messed up little monster man you might recognize from: The girlie in this comic is in fact Yanira there, a much younger version of herself that is.

Obviously it's no spoiler that these two break the racial taboo in the future by coupling up and making a rather adorable brood of girls, but like most stories they didn't start off with hearts in their eyes. Yanira had always been a bit of a free-spirit, often letting her curiosities whisk her away into the depths of the jungle. She had the habit of caring for every living thing she encountered, big and small, and a Yhosymph is no exception. Even if her species is on their menu...

Thus this is how they began! Though it certainly wasn't easy when your patient wants to take a bite out of you. They come to a mutual tolerance eventually, and even a odd friendship, but harboring a Yhosymph in community that fears and hates them will always bring about a misfortune. But that's to be continued at another time!

This is a somewhat spur of the moment comic I started to practice some backgrounds without any line art. Aannnnd I may or may not have gotten a little carried away with it. I might continue this story in little arc's of them here and there, but we'll just see how things progress with my schedule.

I went back and forth about putting a mature setting on this. Honestly I don't find anything in this overly 'mature' admittedly there is some gashed wounds and blood but not any guts spilling across the floor or anything. If folks get up in a fuss about it though I might slap one on later but I doubt that will happen.

I'd like to make note that, nope, Yanira isn't using magic to interact with Ati! This is just an artistic representation of the telepathic communication that all Meridians use to 'speak', referred to as 'Essence'. Normally, this would be completely invisible to the naked eye, however from a visual and storytelling perspective I will be using it in the future to express Essence though I might play around with the effect in the future.
