Thought I'd share a bit of an interaction between Esra and her younger sister Kiyah.

With how the family dynamic is, while all the children are greatly adored its hard to split the parental time between each of them evenly. Especially when raising the oldest Ibeyi to take over the role of Monarch in their nomadic group. Due of this Kiyah often lashed out at any opportunity, the general underlying cause being her trying to gain more attention from her family. Something she admittedly felt deprived of as a kit. Due to their closeness in age Esra was often the one to acknowledge these outburst the most.

Over the years Kiyah becomes greatly attached to her older sibling confiding in her much more than any other family member. Including sharing some of her dreams and aspirations, even when they are somewhat out of reach in their time and world. However, sometimes having at least one person whom knows and understands, can make all the difference for someone.
