I love the blue of her eyes, they partly contrast with the atmosphere, and the black of the lashes causes for the eyes stand out more.

i think i prefer the original, pencil has so much soul in these types of images

Yeah, I'm not really use to the whole coloring thing.
I'm much more used to black and white and sketching.
