Description I thought i'd give this a go!
1) Doctor who, at one time I was majorly obsessed it's dampened down a little now but all the monsters and fantastical worlds featured in the show just set my imagination alight!
)Edward Scissor hands, the movie I know word for word and still makes me cry at the end. I love all Tim Burton movies but this has always been a particular favorite and the design of Edward has been an influence in creating some personal characters of mine.
)Harry Potter, the alternate world i've grown up with. I was actually bitterly disappointed on my 11th birthday when I didn't get my Hogwarts letter.
)Lemony Snicket books + movie, I just love the quirky style of illustration and the storyline was just what I was into when I first read the books. I did many a rip off version of these books.
)David Bowie, At first it was his Ziggy stardust persona that made my imagination go wild but now-a-days his later music is perfect to listen to while drawing.
)Anne Rice Vampire chronicles, the characters and the style these books are written in influence majorly influence my own written work. Even in every day life I sometimes finding myself describing what I see in typical Anne Rice style.
)The never ending story, Oh how I wanted my own Falcore! I used to draw myself with the characters from the never ending story. A movie I watched nearly everyday as a kid.
)The Beatles, their music inspires me to sing, write music, dance draw and every other thing I enjoy to do so I owe these guys an awful lot.
)Water ship down, The novel that has the greatest power to move me. I have read and re-read and it never get's old.
10) A clock work orange, This movie has always been forbidden by my parents ever since I first mentioned it. And so it held a great alluring power for me until I finally got to watch it in secret and my brain just said "What the hell?" for the whole time.
)Peter Rabbit, I named my favorite childhood toy after peter rabbit even if it was a dog. This is the first time I ever remember looking at illustrations and saying "wow, I want to draw like that"
)The young ones, and other British comedy such as The Goodies, Red Dwarf and Monty Python have always been watched in my house. Influencing both my sense of humor in life and my art
)Wolves, the thing I drew non stop for about 5 years. Looking back I wish I had drawn humans instead so I got practice but instead I can draw perfectly atomically correct canines with my eyes closed.
)The Lion King, and Disney. Again I wasn't aloud to watch the Lion king until I was around 8 so it has always had that forbidden charm. I hoped someday when I was little to meet Simba and get him to marry my cat. It never worked out. Haha.
