I don't really like season two... Fam is enraging me and I can't understand why they had traumatized Claus (I mean Immelman ahaha XD). But it's better than nothing

Season 2 ist completly different from Season 1.
It doesn't really work as a sequel. It is much better to see it as something completly different.
My favorite character will be Lavie Head for ever.
Except when she shouts Claus' name a hundred times. It's a little bit irritating when your name is "Klaus"

I agree. The second seemed to me quite well, however after rewatching both seasons together -I was completely disappointed that time
As a foreigner (Russia, yep) I had to google alternative/slang meaning of 'Klaus'...I guess I understood the joke now xD oh gosh

It doesn't matter if your name is "Claus" or "Klaus" in german. It's sounds equal.
So i hear my name a hundred times watching "Last Exile".
And in the second season there are a lot of german words in the Story. Fam comes from the land "Kartoffel", which means "Potato" and they're eating Potatos all the time..
I think that there are also a lot of russian jokes. Which i don't understand :/

Surprisingly there are not so much Last Exile fans out there, i think it's really underrated. And it's a pleading against war - the war in the first season between Anatoray and Dysis is completly useless. Both are puppets of the guild. And this is also the story of the iraq war.
Last Excile is a story of divide et impera.
And i guessed that the russian that the people of Glacie speak is not really russian. Because the use of german in both LEs is also a little bit strange. It's just a sprinkle of exotic to the story.
The exotic countries of germany and russia - funny as hell, if you are not japanese
And there is one thing about "Kartoffel" what we all have to learn. Russian is the language with the most german words in it. (There is a astonishing list of these words in the german wikipedia de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_de⦠) It's because of the german settlers in the 16th century, they are now melted together with the russians but some of their words are still in use.
Once the will be a time no one remembers the names Merkel or Putin, but our common roots will stay for ever and we should work together for a common future.
This is one thing i really love about these japanese manga thing: A lot of them have a deeper wisdom. Maybe you know the game Valkyria Chronicles - it starts as a common nice manga and ends in a racist WW II nightmare. Impressing story.
This is why i love Last Exile so much. It's funny, it's enigmatic in the beginning, it's heart warming, sometimes it's sad, sometimes frightening but there is a happy ending

C: Yep...Generally, LE uses many different references to different countries/cultures+history references (+names of chess techniques for most episode(titles):"D). And I love the idea to combine them for creating imaginary world , because someone like you and I and others can feel something like proximity to it ~ and have something to describe XD

Valkyria Chronicles-I guess I have it in my watch-list for ages, but haven't seen yet (wonna try anime ver. ...someday) XD Damed cosplay takes a lot of time, however it still the best way to me to show my love and delight for character/fandome, and again- to communicate with like-minded person Β

What i want to see is a third season of Last Exile, maybe a prequel, Anatoray and Dysis in better times. But yes, more in the style of the first season.
Valkyria Chronicles is originally a game, the series plays a little bit with the story. Sometimes better, sometimes not. But is always worth a view. Looks like a have an attidude for female heroes...Lavie Head was my favorite character in LE.

...there are about 8 years between the first and the second seasons... so really, we can believe inΒ possibility of season 3! :"D However, yes, no more original stories please. I love your idea but for my taste- something closer to the Guild theme<3 (storys of noble houses f.e., traditions and customs *__* ). Yep, girls falls for albino boys
Among my fav chracters are also Alex (but don't really share his convictions...) and Tatiana. In fact I have sympathy to all characters in LE (but stop. except Sophia. don't know why XD )

I really liked here. But she had no god hand with love...
But when you look at her the emporers daughter, you see that is a very strong person, brave enough to break convention. The sacrifies everything.
A Guild-Seasons sounds great for me. But hopefully they loose in the end...
