Great sense of shading and wrinkles, Mr. Oddball. I guess the wrinkles are so good, that the tree almost seems too smooth since the details aren't as sharp on that bark (but hey, who wants to bother with things that aren't the primary focus of the illustration, right?)

If you hadn't put "munee here" on that kettle, i'd have thought it was a spit catcher.

My only other critique would be that the shading looks ever so slightly inconsistent between the belly and neck of the critter, since the belly is rather high on saturation (rather pinkish) but the neck is more desaturated and just plain dark or blackish. *shrug* it's a pitiful criticism, because good grief, this thing kicks arse.

I seem to remember you posting this before... but maybe you hadn't worked out all the kinks? Is this an oldie of yours?

I still wouldn't mind seeing this four or five times. Heck, maybe I should buy a poster of it for my sister... she'd probably scowl at me and thwack me with a backhand to the jaw, but it'd be worth it. And then you could tell people your art is touching hearts and slapping faces.

This reminds me of an old Bugs Bunny cartoon, ("The Rabbit of Seville"), where Bugs starts massaging Elmer Fudd's scalp with his feet.

This is pretty creepy, but at the same time, I keep thinking, "Wow, a scalp massage would be so nice..."
