Avatar art, whut?!? Did this...oh...months ago, as a practice for another piece; hence, the subject matter isn't so relevant anymore.I didn't like it much at the time, but
I guess I've changed my mind since then.

Paper covers rock... then scissors cut paper... then rock defeats scissors in the end. ...OH MY GOSH. That is the EXACT story of these three! That, plus the fact that (like another commentor said) Iroh is always such a "solid rock" for Zuko to lean on... makes this incredible. Definitely one of the most symbolic fanarts I've ever seen!

I absolutely love this artwork! The whole piece is very symbolic with the colors and pose. The way I interpret the rock, paper, scissors is that Iroh has always been solid in his support of Zuko no matter what and he is the "rock" Zuko can always lean on. Zuko is a blank "paper" that can be easily influenced and manipulated but he's also pure of heart. Azula has a two-faced personality so she'll help you if it benefits her but isn't afraid to cut you off either, kind of like how scissors can be used to create any shape but can also destroy in an instant.
No idea if that was your intention but I like to think my theory is at least a little correct lol.

Oh, pretty colours. I can't help but think it might have made more sense going the other way - Azula being red which could be a simble of her viciousness, Zuko still in between because of his 'two sides' and Iroh being green, because of his usually calm manner and want for no violence. I don't know, that's just my thoughts. I still really love this however!

I chose those because of the red & blue dragons associated with them, but ah, I see your point...red being a power colour, and blue being so nice and Iroh-y calm. At least, it looks bluish on my monitor...maybe it's more green on other people's!
