Posted by my gramps on Facebook, screenshot by my mom, and later sent to my phone to be concluded in my group, the CSAsupporters to defend the Confederate flag and the Confederate States as a whole for the second and third national Confederate States flags and the many battle flags.I had never thought of using this as an example of defense but I am grateful that this reached me.

I am Christian. I am "big" on the Confederate flag but NOT on slavery. It is sad (and pathetically ignorant) that you equate the two.

Is slavery bad? Yes. But you know what else is bad? Talking symbol that many felt was a symbol freedom and turning it into a symbol of hatred. Here's another tidbit - you know that Nazi Symbol? Originally it was a Buddhist symbol for good luck/life. Hitler took that symbol and 'turned the direction' the lines were pointing. That's people who have evil hearts - they take what can be 'good symbols' and try to turn them evil. The Cross, the Swastika, and no doubt the Confederate Flag considering what it used to be about.
The South made two mistakes-
1) Not nipping the KKK when they started murdering people.
2) Didn't reclaim the Confederate Flag before its meaning got twisted inside out.
