Description How to Draw a Dragon Eye 👁 Teaching Tuesday's #mrteachingtuesdays

Dragons are fantastical creatures that are often super complex, so breaking down the different parts of one is great for learning!

Dragon eyes are often based on reptiles like lizards and snakes but can take some inspiration from cat eyes. Some different tips to keep in mind are that dragon eyes have spikes to protect the eyes on the eyelids/folds, have thin pupil slits and have almond shaped eyes.

✏️ Steps to Drawing a Dragon Eye ✏️
1. Draw an almond or lemon like shape for the base/outline of the eye.
2. Draw two semicircles in the previous outline. Draw the outlines of the eyelids on the outside connecting to the corners of the eye.
3. Draw a thin almond shape for the pupil. Add more curved lines on the outside for eye folds.
4. Begin to add details like spikes and extra eye folds.
5. Add final details like color, shading, etc. and you're done!

I'd love to see the dragon eye you created! Make sure to tag me and use the hashtag #️⃣ #mrteachingtuesdays
