I did this piece about five years ago and it’s still one of my favorites. At the time I was trying some painting techniques and experimenting to figure out what worked for me in this realistic style. In this particular case, I also used a pretty good reference photo. So, I would have to be a lousy artist to screw it up badly.

Well, I must say that you're not the first one whose eyes are fooled by this image. Sadly, this is just a low resolution copy which I uploaded by mistake. I have to replace it later on. I'm glad you liked it, though.
