Very good rendering, but imho you should set the focus on the eyes and not on hands.
May ask you wich skin texture have you used?

I agree. Β I was experimenting at the time. Β It was a long time ago, so I'm not quite sure which texture it was, but I think it was one of the V4 Elite textures from DAZ.

face is a bit off but the hands look like a photo.

Yeah, I had a lot of trouble with the face. I was playing with some characters I have, and one didn't remove properly. I tried to fix it, but that's the best I could get. I'd already spent so much time with the rest of the image, I didn't want to just drop it.
Thanks for commenting! I appreciate honesty in comments. It's how we progress as artists.

skin looks natural and nice to me.I also like the hands' softness. (I personally dislike renders were skin is oily , shiny and over glossy or face is so full of visible pores -like craters on the Moon-) Your model has a very reality-like skin.I like the pose also, and the glance she gives us!

Thank you!
I agree. It's tempting to make things look more real by overstating the textures. It's a fine line. I would have liked a little more obvious bumpiness on her hands, lips and eyebrows, but it could have made other parts worse.
I appreciate the comment.

It looks pretty good to me, also. I think perhaps a bit more bump might have helped. It seems that Lux tends to wash out the bump on skin textures, rather than enhancing it. Her hands, in particular, need to look like they have a bit more texture to them. The silver metal seems a bit dull, too.
Pretty face, and great pose.

Yeah, I have to agree. The silver metal is the Reality "default" silver. I'm disappointed with their idea of metals, they are all as dull. I'm beginning to think that it's reality that just doesn't translate DAZ Studio bump settings properly and some manual tweaking of the materials in the Reality screen may help. My next render with it will have a lot more of these details worked out. This is just my first pass with it. The best part of Reality and Lux is the realism of the lighting.
Thanks for your comments! I appreciate it when people take the time to really talk about an image.

That's how we all learn. It's very ego-boosting for someone to tell you 'It's beautiful', but sometimes, you'd rather hear: "her earring is crooked, her hair is sticking out of her boob, and her dress is weird'.
It might be painful, but it tells you to pay more attention...

looks good. just wondering about the eyelashes, is that makeup underneath or is something going on with the trans-maps?
