Description
Submission for nJoo's [link] 2D Rock off Steampunk Fairytale challenge.This is Red Riding Hood, she has to get the basket, a revolutionary power source, to 'Granny's House' before the Big Bad Wolf gets her. Had a lot of fun with the characters, might do a short comic about them.
Watercolour on paper, seriously rushed - not happy with this at all, but hey, deadlines is deadlines.

Beautiful work! Β The big bad wolf seems a little stiff to me, though (something about the pose doesn't strike me as dramatic enough for the situation).

the original story by charles perrault is VERY dark, you should read it (im not sure charles is the original author, it has been redone so many times, a little more "Childish" every time...)

I'm guessing, because this power source is probably worth something, wolfie is trying to steal it to either sell it on the black market or was hired by whoever owns this world.
This is what the Twiligh- I mean Red Riding Hood movie from 2011 should have been like! I would have gone to see it on the big screen in all its badass-ness. You have a gift, man.

Very interesting concept idea on Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf.
It really adds a new vision to the fairytale. I think the subtle colors work and bright vivid red colors make this whole artwork pop and stand out. Even if this artwork was rushed, it still works.

This is by far one of my favourite fairytale re-imaginings. I just love what you've done with the steampunk/fairytale combo and the fact that Red doesn't look like she takes any prisoners. Great stuff. I'd love to see a comic version.

This was nicely done. It was a great twist to a classic. Most people want to turn this story in to some perverted. This is clean and very creative.

Love the little things, like the wolf-head clasp for Red's stockings, the little ears on Wolf's hat, the way the gas mask elongates his face to more a wolf muzzle... all very awesome

This is really well done! What are those contraptions that the 'wolf' is wearing on his feet? I've seen something similar to those once somewhere...
