Maybe if I build something that glows brightly enough, I'll feel complete. I'll forget about all the difficult stuff every time I glance at this glowing masterpiece that I see in my dreams, right? I'll make art, I'll sell it, it'll be fine!

"I miss the music... I miss the song. Since she's not with me, it comes out wrong.

It doesn't matter how hard I try... I've lost the music. I don't know why."

Fumbling around with seemingly little motor skill, I knocked a box of crystals from the table. They scattered about. I started picking them up, and then I just dropped it again. Started thinking. Too much.

"When you're writing a song, and you've a partner, the room is filled with jokes and chatter! She says something, you say something. She writes a line, you play a vamp! But when you're writing a song without a partner, that's a completely different matter. No one tells you "That's not funny!" No one says "Let's cut that bar!" No one makes you better than you are."

Assembling stones into a circular pattern, I figure I'll just pick up a small crystal from the pile on the floor if I really need one. I definitely know I'm missing something. Is it the right kind of glue? Is it a batch of prettier quartz? Is it a better place to live? Is it a different job? Is it a motorcycle? Is it another mask or shield or costume to hide behind?

Ah... I have a hunch.
