I'm such an evil person!Ruby must be very special to me because I’m starting to torture her.
I had this one expression in my mind when you feel this burning pain in your chest that shuts you down in moments and wont let you breath, before you burst out in tears. I wanted to draw this shock.
At first I wanted to add tears but my girlfriend said it’s too cruel.
So, BAM!
I regret nothing!

Let me tell you guys a story that I thought of when I saw this.
The entire reason Ruby had left her Homeworld, even been on Earth was because of Sapphire. Once the two had been fused, it was a magical moment that they didn't intend to go back on. They spent many, many years in their Garnet form until Garnet was stabbed in one of her gems. By Pearl.
She hadn't meant it, she was aiming towards the gem they were fighting. Garnet knew this, and quickly assured her it was going to be just fine before the gem shattered and Garnet fell apart. Kneeling on the ground was Ruby, with shiny blue shards bubbled in her hands. She couldn't move. Pearl and Amethyst were screaming at each other, but the noise was drowned out by her own thoughts. Ruby was cold from the fear, and it took a moment for hot, angry tears to fall down her face. "Pearl..."
