North America, 195 million years ago - A wandering Anchisaurus stumbles across a stagnant desert lake, the shores of which are dotted with bacterial colonies of stromatolites - some of which exceed to over 5 meters tall. Though it doesn’t realize it, the Anchisaurus is investigating a scene highly reminiscent of the daily lives of its distant ancestors over a billion years ago.
