I DID IT!
There it is! My application to join Seelenzirkus !

I know that there are some illusionists already, but the thought of him came spontaneously, and as some of you may know: those ideas are usually the best possible ones.

I really hope that he's fine the way he is!

( I hate his outfit and those shoes already why did I do that to myself. )

This is my very first RP-Group and I basically don't know anything about Deviantart yet so please be gentle.

He's an illusionist- more precisely, a smoke illusionist.

Literally going up in smoke - it's called Smoke Mimicry.

》 Examples

There's a lot that he does with his single ability.
● The obvious one is transforming his whole body - or just parts of his body - into smoke
● Thus being able to dodge objects, so that they may pass right through him
● He also manages to gain invisibility through his ability - and then appearing out of nowhere
● In other words, he gains apparent 'super speed', since he can materialize wherever smoke is present.
● Something handy about his ability is that he is existing 'inside' the smoke, so he is still able to laugh and talk, which often successfully creep people out or, at least, make them uneasy. He loves that.
● Because Smoke is a gas, he can gain temporary flight. He's not good at that yet though. The longest he can keep flying with a solid body is for about a minute or two. It's exhausting him quite quickly.

For his show, he often uses mirrors that surround him so one may see him from every angle. That way, the 'illusion' is perfect.
Smoke would love to work together with other illusionists or generally people whose show would benefit from his smoke.

He's performing in the main tent. Outside his ability wouldn't work as soon as there's more than a slight breeze.

When you first meet Smoke, you will notice that he has excellent manners and likes to charm you with cunning words and his outrageously good humour.
At least, that's how he appears to the audience.
Even when he's not performing, he's quite hammy and likes to stand in the center of attention.
His attitude can make it hard to get along with him if you're not the type to laugh about puns or find his ability annoying.
You could say that gaining his ability and a second life drove him a little insane - believing that he's invincible.
Seeing how many people are in awe whenever he's performing also made him proud - maybe a little bit too much. Some would think that his pride would make him avoid working together, but the contrary is the case.
Smoke adores working together with others, preferably other illusionists, as long as they benefit from each other. All he wants is to create a good show that fazes people and if a trick doens't work on his audience,
he quickly thinks about something else without worrying.
Sadly Smoke tends to be slightly sadistic, enjoying when people hurt themselves, are confused or scared. He finds pain simply hilarious, even his own.

》 Story

Smoke was always amazed by magic, already as a little kid. He was quite saddened but amazed at the same time when he found out that they were simply magic tricks.
An old magician in his home town inspired him to start a career as a magician, taking him as his apprentice and already as a teen he practiced simple tricks and performed them on the street - or being the old magician's assistant on his shows.
Later, he went his own way, calling himself "Mr. Strange" and shocking people with his shows that got progressively more dangerous and original, getting some extra money on the side.
To help his performances, he quickly realized that smoke was ideal to create an illusion and keep his audience in the dark about what was really happening.
His shows looked basically like this.
He gained popularity quickly because of his unpredictable acts and his witty personality and he worked very hard to perfect his magic.
Smoke never married or found somebody that he could imagine spending his life with - partly because he didn't want to hurt them if one day he'd die from his shows.

Quickly he was suffering from various side effects when he reached his twenties, caused by smoking but that never stopped him nor he ever felt bad about what he was doing.
Smoke wanted to amaze people at any costs, just like his mentor teached him to.
He wanted to be known and popular, that people would tell their children about magic when he died. He wanted people to believe in magic. For them to take it seriously.
To keep working he tried to stay healthy for the longest time, keeping his body in shape as good as possible and eating healthy, but in the end the unavoidable happened and he died of circulation problems and lung cancer.

A lot of people came to his funeral and his death saddened many people who were enchanted by his talent, but the majority of them already expected his death.
Even his funeral was breathtaking and absurdly happy. The man didn't want anybody to cry, after all, he had been able to do what he lived for until the very end.
Happy music was playing, people danced and had a good time.

When the mysterious ringmaster offered him the deal, he instantly accepted, hoping that he would be able to continue his wonderful shows even after death.
And he did.
He is even more comfortable in his new body than he was in his old.
With glee he tested out his ability and thought hard of new ways to entertain people with his newly gained power.
All the attention he gets and all the applause he's hearing made him very full of himself pretty quickly.
His powers started to get the better of him, causing him being more daring and outlandish than he already was.
The fact that he basically never had serious consequences for the abuse of his own body made him feel invincible.
Nobody could truly kill him.
Not even himself.
