Being inspired by an artist is completely acceptable, and I can see that is the case here. The scales are very similar to a nekoi, but that's where the similarities end. While Nekoi have whiskers, this creature seems to have grass sprouting about. While nekoi are part CAT, this is clearly part DOG or some other canine, therefore, NOT a nekoi. Just because a creature has a tail and legs, doesn't automatically make it nekoi.Β Β
To anyone commenting otherwise, please don't infringe upon the creativity of others just because they draw inspiration from a single part of a closed species. This is far enough different that it's not infringing any copyright laws.
That said, it's a great adoptable! Very cute, looks almost plant like.
