Description
If you reference or re-post this or any of my art, be sure to credit me for making the original!Rendering practice with a nice and simple Kirby character
Inspired by Teisol 's shady bois (thank you for reminding me how badly I need to practice this stuff!)
Edgy Boi
Crispy Boi
Ornate Boi
Gonna try and start practicing an art fundamental one day a week.
(~2hrs with FireAlpaca, made possible by God!)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA OH MY GOSH YOU DID IT, YOU SAT DOWN AND PRACTICED HARD JDKAHSDJKAH
THIS TURNED OUT REALLY GREAT!
I'm so glad I could motivate/remind you to get to it ;_;! It's so hard to push oneself to practice the majority of the time.
I really like that you made the top section of the crest lighter, kinda like an axe, the darker gloves, and those rounded out edges and seams. It adds a lot to the believability of the material!
Metal is darn hard though, but you got really far with the light on the top. I'm struggling a lot with metal myself, but I know that you can probably push the contrast a little more, because it looks a tiny bit more matte than metallic. Metal is the one material where it is okay to use extreme whites and blacks, but I am really glad you were careful and not went overboard with it here.
I highly encourage you to master matte materials first though! Then it becomes a lot easier to learn metal afterwards. Stay away from the very lightest lights and darkest darks for matte, then slowly figure out how to use them for metal after 8)
BUT MOST OF ALL, NAILED THE SHAPE! I could clearly tell this was a cartoon character armor! Didn't know it was Kirby armor though since I am not updated on those games, but it did remind me of Kirby when I saw it.
I'M PROUD OF YOU DTB, AS YOU NEVER FAIL TO IMPRESS AND INSPIRE ME WITH YOUR DEDICATION AND HARD WORK.

Thank you Teis! I see what you’re saying about metal now that I look at it (to be honest all I really used for reference was the art of the character so that’s on me XD) I’ll try to do more non-shiny stuff.

I just started playing a Kirby game for the first time ever, it's such a weird yet fun game!
((Also this is so cool!!!! I can't do realistic-ish stuff at all!))
